T-H-A-N-K-full

We had a great holiday. Not so eventful, but sometimes that is even better. Our guests were Aunt Pat and Keith & Linda. I made turkey, dressing, etc. since it is Riley's favorite meal in the world, except for maybe chili or super-nachos. (lol) He loves it so much he is even willing to help out a little in the kitchen. I busted him helping tear up bread for dressing.

I love it!! I captured exactly what they were thinking.
Riley: "@!#(^/?...now everyone is going to see this on the blog!!"

Scout: "mmm...yummy...love me some white bread"

Thankful for these sweet babies. Thankful that they are healthy, happy, and beautiful (if I might say so myself).

These pics are from the night before. When you're slaving in the kitchen there just isn't time to be the photographer too. I did tell Riley that if he wants that meal very often he is going to have to get me a bigger kitchen. Not sure, but it just might be worth it to him.

Riley walks in the back door this evening. Scout is sitting in her high-chair at the table.

Scout: "Daddy, your supper's not ready yet."

Daddy: "Oh, yeah"

Scout: "Nope, it's still burnin'!"

Nuff Said

Yep, I'm a big bragger...you should be used to that by now.

The Smith household is currently experiencing some computer difficulties involving the computer that already has all 500 pics from the rodeo uploaded. I figure this is all a person really needs to know for now. All the cutesy, fun stuff will follow (hopefully) soon.

Reno - 1 month

Our little man is already a month old. It's hard to believe how much he has grown since the last pictures I posted of him. I was worried at our 2 week check-up because I was having to wake him up to eat and he wasn't chowing like Scout did.
2 wk stats:
7 lb 12 oz and 21 inches

So I'm thinking that it is quite possible that he was longer than 19.5 inches at birth. He likes to eat more and more each day, so there is no telling what he will weigh at the 6 week check-up.

Reno passed Raggedy Andy in a hurry!!

Handsome smile!!

Reno you are awake more and more each day. You are such a good baby, hardly ever even making a sound. It seems to be too much work to cry or sometimes even to open your eyes. I can't describe you as a "happy baby" just yet. When you are awake you tend to frown alot, which is pretty funny. You are starting to act like you have something to say, so I'll bet you'll be smiling at us pretty soon.

You have already been to some pretty loud events such as a football game, Summer and Autumn's basketball games, and the ranch rodeo. The loud noise doesn't bother you at all. I suppose you are so used to hearing your sister. Instead, when it is quiet and there is a little click you startle.

Speaking of your sister....Scout absolutely loves you and really hasn't been too jealous. She is such a Daddy's Girl which has probably helped with that. Of course she is a little rough, but that's just her. You'll understand more about that later on. She has only picked you up once. Daddy and I were sitting right there and should've realized it, but she didn't hurt you too bad because you never let out a peep.

We love you Mr. Reno!! Happy 1 Month Birthday!!

Just for fun......this is Scout at 5 weeks.

The Truth

Me to Scout: Scout do you have dirty pants?

Scout answers: Nope!!!

Riley to Scout: (looks in her pants....lol) Scout, you really do have poop in your pants. If Mama asks you something you need to tell her the truth.

Scout to Me: The Truth, Mama!!

I thought this kind of conversation would take place when she's ten, not two. Oh and at this rate we may be having this exact conversation (about poop) when she is ten.

Peace, Love, & Could Someone Potty Train Her For Me?.....tomorrow!!

Halloween Weekend

It started with a "Senior" (sniff, sniff) pep rally at LAZ high. I absolutely cannot believe that Summer will be graduating so soon.

Sisters....beautiful sisters!!

Summer and Scout

Summer and Reno

The Sheriff

Dr. Pepper....she loves them so much I decided she should just be one.

Scout and Reno with their Injun cousin, Trail.

Reno at his first football game. He slept right through it.

Scout and her Dad at the football game. They only go for the concession stand.

Jason and his Mini-Me. I'm just waiting for the day that Leah hides from me like her big sisters.

Mom's cousin, Mary Beth and her husband Chris came for a yummy supper at Leal's on Saturday evening.

Yes...we are bad parents......no.....we didn't take Scout and Reno trick-or-treating on Sunday evening. What they don't know won't hurt them. Plus if that candy is sitting around I will just eat it.
