We were super hopeful and actually qualified for the WCRR there last year. It is a two night rodeo with different teams each performance. Unfortunately we learned late Saturday night that we were 2nd. Poo!!
Poor Bubba just couldn't stay hooked through lunch. I really think this is the first time he's crashed in the high chair.
Prissy Lady all decked out for the rodeo. She loves these boots that Tripp picked out in Houston.
Reno had a sweet, little friend to play with. Miss Cori and her mama Natalie were there rooting for Sandhill. We look forward to them being at rodeos with Sandhill team member JC.
Speaking of rooting for Sandhill, we had a pretty big cheering section. Three of my mom's cousins and their spouses came to watch. I think it was the first ranch rodeo for the Floridians. Thanks guys for coming.
We made the trip back after the rodeo, arriving home around 2:00 am. Not that fun, especially since neither Riley nor I are good at driving at night. Sometimes we aren't even good at driving during the day. For some reason we both get tired in the vehicle.
Summer Lynn spent the night with us so that she could babysit for me the next morning. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I planned to run my very first 5K on Saturday morning.
I got up at 6 and headed to Hereford. I was super nervous just because I hadn't ever competed.
My bragging..........3.1 miles in 26 minutes 20 seconds, 2nd place in the 30-39 female division. I hadn't really been training for hills, so that might've gotten me a little. Thank goodness it was downhill to the finish line.
I know I just lucked out and will probably never medal again, but it was fun. The girl that won first in my division beat my time by 4 minutes. Wow!!
I called Summer around 9:30 and asked if the kids were up. She replied that Scout was and sent this pic. How fun is she? A picnic on the back porch. Summer actually already blogged about and it is much cooler than mine. Go check it out!!
Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Oh wow! We were parked at the very end of the contestants area, they wore brown shirts. Unforunately we didn't do well, but that was their first ranch rodeo as that team, so hopefully the next few will be better. We live in Snyder, my husband works at Spires. I'm so excited to meet another blogger from our new area. We're originally from Weatherford. My daughter has that same blue shirt, I love love love Target and I love her leopard boots!!
Way to go on the 5k. I am an aspiring runner, but still recovering from just having little miss thing.
I tried to reply to your comment on my blog through email but I don't think it went through because your email isn't linked to your account. I don't know if you know that.
Have a great day! =]
Bummer on not winning, but 2nd is pretty good!! ;)
Yay for you and a 5k, sounds like you did well!!
That's so cute that Summer did that with the kids, so much fun, and the memories it made!!
Man, I hope we hit some the same ranch rodeos! We don't have anything until the 4th.
(Haskell is my folks' old stomping grounds)
Anyway, good job on the race!!!! I have never done anything like that before, and am pretty sure I would fail at it. HA!!
Oh, and Miss Scout looks adorable in her ranch rodeo outfit. I must start making Paisley some of those headbands.
What a fun morning for the kids! I keep thinking I should do that one morning J is gone early.
Love it! Can't wait to see y'all soon!
