Cute enough....

There's the whole "tough enough to wear pink" thing, but I'm going to call this "cute enough to....err be crazy and funny and just yourself".  I tell you these nieces of mine are always taking the craziest pictures or posting videos of themselves singing or who knows what all.  

I was never confident enough to just be me.  Well, I guess you can do whatever you want if you are as cute as they are.

I put them in charge of my I-pad at a rodeo and these are the photos I found, well on my lock screen too.  They replaced a family photo with one of themselves.  Once again, "cute enough to......!!!"

Abilene, Abilene....

Family tradition takes place in Abilene every second weekend in May.  Our whole family has been lucky enough to qualify for the Ranch Horse of America Association Finals.  When I say our whole family I'm meaning Riley, Tripp, and Autumn.  

Western Heritage Classic takes place at the same time and we usually take in the rodeo.  Let me say it is interesting to sit and watch alongside Tripp and Riley who are always in the rodeo and not watching it.  

I only have videos of their runs, no photos.  Riley and Tripp made the finals.  One of Riley's horses colic-ed right before he was supposed to show him.  We didn't end up with a Champion, but Riley did win Reserve on Beech Nut.  

We had the most fun at the zoo with the Grandmas.

Groovebook

Once upon a time I was pretty good about posting pics I took with my phone.  Now I'm not as good.  To bet honest, now I expect my computer to insert a period when I double space.  I suppose I'm expecting the silly thing to post pics on my blog and suck the details out of my mind.  Sounds like a good idea, eh?

I don't want to forget and these pics just go floating out in I-Phone Picture Land.

A friend told me about something pretty cool and I'm certain that I'm hooked.  It's called Groovebook and it's a smartphone app.  Go online to learn more.  The scoop is that you put in all your info (name, billing & shipping addresses, and credit card) then once a month you choose 100 pics from your phone and it prints them in a snazzy little book shows up at your door about a week later.  The cost is only $2.99, which I happen to think is a steal.

This is how behind I am.  Truthfully it isn't how behind I really am.  Pray there aren't any hardware disasters before I get my world in pictures a little more organized.  Here are a few pics that have sadly been left out from the last couple, three or four months...

Adams Ranch

Behind....the story of my life.  Oh well, it just means that life is happening.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

Our little family met my sister Tandy's little family out at their family ranch for a little ATVing, hiking, and grilling.

Adams Ranch borders Lake Mackenzie which is between Tulia and Silverton and then north.  It is such a beautiful place.  I'd like to see it now since they've gotten a little rain. 

I'm not a real big fan of looking off the edge!  Heights don't bother me that much, but cracks in the rock you are standing on does.

Some things never change, regardless of where you are.  I love how you can see Mr. Reno's little personality in these pics.  

Tandy and I went hiking with the big boys.  Well, not really!!  She and I achieved almost the same thing, it just took us much longer and we didn't venture over to the super skinny part.

I could really learn to love hiking.  This was pretty much my first go at it.  Hopefully we can go back in the fall.  Ok fine, I know the fall is just around the corner.  Where is the time going?

Here's to the Dads!

Father, Dad, Daddy, Pop, Papa, Papaw!

I'd have to say, I once had and have now the BEST Dads in my life!

This is one of my favorite pics of me and Daddy.  It's sad to say that he's been gone longer than I even knew him.  I wish I could remember more.  I love hearing people tell stories about him or run into people that knew him or worked for him.

He was so handsome, he was quite the horseman, he was a people person, he was fashionable, plus he was a Godly man and everything you'd expect in a good DAD.

Here's the good news!  We now have an equally good Dad.  Yes, there were times that I wouldn't have claimed him as Dad, but I do now and should have all along.

This man is a better Dad and has done more for his family than people will ever know.

He's the best Papa to my children!  

I've also been lucky enough to gain a wonderful Dad through marriage.  Men who are all up in the middle of really taking care of kids.....now that's a good Dad.  That's what these guys are too.  Papaw is truly one of a kind!

Now let's talk about my baby-daddy!  He does it all.  Seriously, sometimes I think he could do this without me.  Have I mentioned that the kids love him, adore him, worship the ground he walks on?

This is what it's all about people!!  I am so very thankful today (and every day) for all the Dad's in our lives.  Thankful for the right example they are setting and the mark they have made and are making in our lives!

We love you guys!!

Memorial Day & Grandpa's Big Birthday

Memorial Day this year was pretty much like it is every year.  It involved  family, playing in the water, food, and a little team roping.  

Riley's grandpa Roy had a big birthday earlier this month so we did lots of celebrating with family.  Scout and Reno always have a big time with their cousins from Colorado.

We missed super important family members in some of our pics (you know who you are).  It was very nice to visit with family that we hardly ever get to see.

Once again there are no team roping pics. Unfortunately what it means is that hubs didn't win a big roping.  Matter of fact, he didn't even win a small roping.  That's alright with me.  We love watching him!!

Rangers

T-ball Rangers that is!  

Scout was finally old enough to play this year.  We almost didn't play because we had to miss a few games, but boy am I glad that we did!  She had a blast.

Riley and I tend to be sort of hard on her.  It must be our competitive spirit coming out.  It's amazing how fast she runs through the house and how slowly she runs to first base.  She really did great though.  We are super proud!

When Aunt Kaitlyn asked Scout what her favorite part of playing t-ball was she replied, "the base house".  What is not to love about the dugout?

 Saylor and Reno didn't care too much for the action.  They were more interested in playing in the dugout and eating goldfish.

Reno loves to play "baseball cractice".  He is always wearing Scout's cap around and playing with her glove.  He also loves to play "basketball game".  

I'm not sure, but I think we may have a couple of little athletes on our hands.
